A Data Center is the heart of most businesses, housing multi-million dollars equipment, providing intensive data storage and information applications. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to maintain it at its optimum all the time. KMJ provides constant monitoring of environmental changes as well as support, to maintain the optimum environmental state for the data center.

Rapid Response to Emergencies

A 3-level respond system is normally recommended to our clients for their contingency planning with regards to emergency response.

This equipment is able to detect smoke at the incipient stage, so that an alarm can be alerted at the very first detection of smoke. It works by drawing air samples at regular intervals, where very sensitive sensors will detect the change in air particles.

A BMS response system is linked to a paging or SMS system held by the site engineer. Any failure within the data centre which is linked to the BMS will alert the site engineer.

This includes the Emergency Respond team or system vendors. The site engineer or on-site personnel will activate them and provide accurate details with regards to the failure. Thus, when these specialized teams arrive, they could undertake the task with minimum downtime.

Regular Facilities Management

Equipment within the data centre is checked and serviced at least once a month to ensure optimum working performance. Authorized vendors for the equipment are engaged for such servicing.Another aspect of facilities management is the provision of facilities improvement. As the data centre expands, the facilities have to improve. Research into new equipment, design and ways to improve the existing facility is constantly carried out to make sure that the data center is at the forefront of the latest trend, technology and design.

Power Certification

Different equipment has different electrical needs. As the services of the data centre are shared, there is a possibility of failure in one of the equipment which could result in a chain reaction that might cause failure in other equipment.
This is why Power Certification is carried out. It is to carry out routine checks and inspection to ensure that the power requirement of the equipment conforms to the specifications spelt out, and is able to operate within the condition set for the data centre.

Project Coordination

We provide a single point of contact for the clients, vendors and contractors. Thus, work is carried out on site with minimal delays and downtime.
A relay and feedback system between the client and our FM personnel is also implemented so as to minimize communication.
In addition, clients can be assured of works to be carried out in utmost professionalism and detailed care, to eliminate facility damages and maintains cleanliness. We also conform to client’s requirements and current industrial standards & practices.

Project Sourcing

Product sourcing is a tedious job usually involving the services of the procurement department. Staff may be unfamiliar with the suitability of the product required and/or is not technically inclined. In addition, maintaining the department may incur additional cost to the company and projects.

KMJ offers a simple and yet efficient solution by providing product sourcing services to clients, thus allowing them an ease of mind, time and cost savings.

  • We cut off the sales talk from vendors or product salesmen and give our clients the core facts of the product and suitability.
  • We also look into alternatives for the product so as to stay vendor independent.
  • Finally, we study the suitability and feasibility of the product in comparison to the requirements set by our clients.
